Safety is pivotal to the culture
of the company in all ND Civils activities. Safety is not
considered a chore for ND Civils but more of a way of simply
doing things safely.
Safe Hands NW Ltd., is appointed
as the competent person in accordance with the Management of
Health & Safety Regulations, advising on all matters
relating to health & safety at work.
Working with full co-operation
with the Client & Principle Contractor the company will
produce its own Construction Phase H&S Plan in support of
the CDM Regulations. All projects are bespoke and are
subject to a rigid and specific Risk Assessment process
supported by suitable & sufficient Method Statements.
A fully qualified and competent
Site Management Team ensure that company policy and
procedures are fully maintained throughout the project
supporting quality, cost & on time delivery to the highest
safety standards. Tool Box talks are completed weekly by the
Site Management Team on all sites.
Ground workers accredited to CITB
standards support an ethos within the company that promote
an affective health & safety culture that naturally reflects
in a safe environment in which to work safely. In
addition, a pro-active reporting mentality offers an
opportunity for both improvement and commitment towards a
safer way of working for all concerned.
To ensure standards are kept in
line with construction industry recognised standards - they
are annually audited by the Contractors Health & Safety
Assessment Scheme. (CHAS)
In addition, all operational
sites are regularly attended by a dedicated Contracts
managers and audited by the Health & safety Advisor.
